The coastal community of Westport has the unique
distinction of being the only town in the state of Washington that has both
Pacific Ocean beach and a developed marina!
Visitors can enjoy surfing, beachcombing,
whale watching, sport fishing, clam digging and walks along a 2.5 mile paved
oceanfront trail. Many enjoy visiting the historical Grays Harbor lighthouse
and Maritime Museum and taking part in local events such as Rusty Scupper’s
Pirate Daze.

Miles of drivable beaches for easy picnicking
(watch out for sand castles).
Westport is an easy 2 ˝ hour drive from Seattle or 3 hour drive from Portland making it an easy weekend destination for all of the Pacific Northwest.

A 355
acre resort is planned next to the jetty. Construction actually started on the
links style golf course. Plans were postponed during the recession.
Watch
for the Lady Washington (the “Black Pearl” in the first Pirates of the
Caribbean movie) and the Hawaiian Chieftain to sail through occasionally.

More info on property:
Nice quiet neighborhood and two blocks from
grocery store. Overgrown with brush and old growth spruce on west end with
Creek through middle of larger section. City hall is real easy to deal with.
They said we could move the creek as long as we don’t restrict it’s flow. We
also could change the lot boundaries with no minimum lot size and no setbacks
meaning we could build up to or even over the lot lines. They allow fill to
raise the ground level (recommended). Most yards in Westport get a little mushy
in the winter. I would recommend turning the lot lines in the larger section
parallel to the creek and making that section into two large lots instead of
three. In that case you can vacate the easement and have more room. The
environmental engineer for the area told me that there were no wetlands on
these lots. It is common for the cheaper lots in Westport to be in the
wetlands.
